Benedict Cumberbatch is fantastic as Sherlock Holmes in the BBC television series. He plays tthe role of the sociopathic consulting detective to perfection. It seems that J. J. Abrams agrees with me and has picked him to play the bad guy in Star Trek 2. I’m sure he’ll do a fine job, I just hope he can do better than Travolta in Battlefield Earth.

Personally, I never got into Star Trek. Also, Mal Reynolds could kick Kirk’s arse any day of the week. I don’t even know if I got that reference right, I don’t care. Still, I may see this film just for Cumberbatch. Like I refused to see the last one for Eric Bana.

I think I might go watch The Fifth Element again, Gary Oldman is damn fine.
