I’m a little afraid that this review is going to a bit redundant. If the mass amount of sold out sessions on Wednesday are anything to go by, almost everyone keen to read this would have seen this film already, and probably have already come to the same Neo-esque conclusion.

THIS IS NOT THE PLACE [REVIEW]

Stories have been told for thousands upon thousands of years. Originality is difficult to achieve. Every twist of every classic tale has been tried. So I guess it was just a matter of time before someone wrote a film about an aging rock star with a fleeting-yet-arguable resemblance to Ozzy Osbourne on a road trip through America as he hunts for his father’s Nazi persecutor from Auschwitz.

TABLETOP EPISODE #2 – THE SETTLERS OF CATAN

After a long wait (over two weeks, dammit!) Wil Wheaton has brought out episode two of his board gaming web series, Tabletop. This episode looks at The Settlers of Catan, one of the classic gateway games.

A gateway game is the like the marijuana of the board gaming world. They’re relatively cheap, easy to get introduced to and hard to look back from. The Settlers of Catan was my gateway game, in fact. I heard about it online, thought it sounded interesting and picked up a copy. About 50 games of it later I never looked back.

OZ COMIC-CON ADELAIDE

The line was snaking out around the building, and yet even more people were arriving. It was 10am, and neither hot nor cold. Five people ahead of me, Captain America was patiently holding his son’s hand. Two boys dressed as stormtroopers ran past.

I didn’t know there were this many people in Adelaide.
